Study: Medical Cannabis Legalization May Reduce Opioid-Related Deaths

The most recent review of medical cannabis literature calls upon loosening restrictions around marijuana research as a way to save and improve the lives of pain patients. Drawing upon an overwhelming body of evidence, this is the latest medical publication to suggest medical cannabis as a critical intervention for opioid addiction and mortality. A 2017 review went so far as to conclude that the legalization of marijuana is an integral part of any plan to end the opioid epidemic.
