December 4, 2015. Announcing new health & wellness service offered by Abbotsford Yoga Studio to its customers. The core of Abbotsford yoga Studio’s business is the teaching of Iyengar Yoga and now offers Lymphatic Drainage Massage.
There is a new treatment room dedicated to doing Lymphatic Drainage massage work. Lymphatic drainage massage
combines custom-blended essential oils with European aromatherapy.
Abbotsford Yoga Studio will now provide personalized sessions for its’
clients.
Lymphatic drainage has a long list of healthful
benefits. It encourages the natural drainage of the lymph from the body
tissue while increasing circulation of the lymph. A clear watery fluid
that moves through the body picking up bacteria, fat cells and viruses
filtering them out via lymph nodes.
It is known to reduce stress
dramatically and de-stressing allows the body to heal. Stress is known
to adversely affect health. Especially when an individual is in a
vulnerable health position as the immune system defenses are lessened
under stress. The unique thing about lymphatic drainage massage work is
how it connects the individual to the parasympathetic which is essential
for healing to occur in the body.
Lymphatic massage can help in
reducing swelling connected with an injury or surgery where lymph nodes
have been removed, such as a mastectomy.
Due to its ability to remove fat cells lymphatic massage
can reduce cellulite. It also acts as an effective anti-aging process
and it has effectively been used as a beauty treatment for centuries.
The massage is very useful for body detoxification due to its ability to
remove impurities. These all combine to improve longevity, enhance
overall health and wellness and provide a feeling of rejuvenation.
Eileen Millar, Abbotsford Yoga Studio’s owner and lead instructor, says this about lymphatic drainage massage: “Lymphatic
drainage massage benefits the immune system and is an effective process
for preventing oncoming colds or flus as well as helping both evaporate
quicker if you are experiencing either. Truly, the list of areas
lymphatic drainage massage positively influences is vast and worth
anyone’s consideration.”
Green Valley Aromatherapy Pure Essential Oils, located in Courtenay, BC, Canada, explains: “Essential
oils enter the body through the skin, the largest organ in the human
body. Because the molecular structure of the essential oil is so small,
the molecules are absorbed through the skin and then the bloodstream. A
modern application of this principal is known as “the patch.” To quit
smoking or to raise estrogen levels in menopausal women, medication is
introduced at a gentle and consistent level into the body through the
skin. Massage is a good way to introduce essential oils to the body.
Essential oils take approximately half an hour to be absorbed. Numerous
wellness effects become evident.”
When combining custom
blended essential oils different systems of the body can be positively
affected. Essential oils are known as natural antidepressants with
tranquilizing and stress-reducing properties. They are also known to
have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Lymphatic massage
integrates the use of essential oils and forms a potent experience for
anyone seeking higher levels of health and wellness.
