‘Naughty and Nice Lingerie’ Partners with Community Uplifting Project to Help Women of Domestic Violence

Brenda Gonzalez
Naughty and Nice Lingerie
PO Box 24091
Jersey City, NJ 07304
(Jersey City, NJ) -- (10/06/2015) Local lingerie boutique pairs up with nonprofit during Domestic Violence Awareness Month helping provide battered woman essentials by donations of new or gently used bras.

Naughty and Nice Lingerie has announced their recent partnership with Community Uplifting Project of Jersey City, NJ, to help provide fundamentals to women of domestic violence. In support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the boutique has also pledged several hundred dollars in bras to help kick start the campaign and show support to women in need. The project, which will run through November 1st of 2015, accepts both new and gently used bras of all sizes and styles, including sports bras, nursing bras, and even camisoles.

“Many women escape with only the clothes on their backs, and may not have access to money to pay for accommodations,” notes Melissa Jeltsen in her June Huffington Post article on domestic violence. The story details exactly why it’s so hard for many to women to leave an abusive relationship because of the lack of a support system both in their personal life and surrounding communities.

For many women, they also run the risk of falling victim to financial abuse and isolation; both are common tactics used in many domestic abuse situations which adds even more obstacles for those trying to free themselves of violent living situations. Many women simply lack any semblance of a community support system, and thus feel trapped.

“I believe that giving is beautiful and what better way in showing support than by donating a bra to women in need,” explains Owner, Brenda Gonzalez. “Any woman can fall victim – it could be your sister, daughter or even someone you work with. Our bras have provided support to us for many years – so isn’t it time to pay it forward?”

New purchase donations are also being accepted through the Naughty and Nice Lingerie website. Contributors can simply donate a new bra by typing “donate a bra” in the order notes box upon checkout. To show their added support for contributions, the Jersey City lingerie boutique is also offering a 10% discount off an entire purchase when customers use the coupon code 19283746r at checkout, which is good through October 31st.

Those who wish to donate gently used bras by mail can send their clean items directly to:

Professional Grade Prenatal Vitamin, With Major Preventative Health Benefits, Launch Announced by Frontrunners Health

Garland, Texas - United States - October 5, 2015- Frontrunners Health, an established leader in superior nutritional supplements, announced new research supporting the benefits of their prenatal vitamin brand, Baby’s Best Start. Baby’s Best Start prenatal vitamins normally available only through health care practitioners, can now found at select retailers. Learn more about these professional grade vitamins at http://amazon.com/dp/B01400LX6A.

Prenatal Vitamins are essential for the health of a fetus. According to The Mayo Clinic, “To reduce the risk of having a child with neural tube defects, women who are trying to become pregnant should get 600 micrograms (mcg) of folate or folic acid a day through diet and supplements.” Early prevention is key to reducing the risk of Neural tube defects, which can include both spinal bifida and anencephaly. With Baby’s Best Start vitamins, mothers-to-be receive 800mg of folate, which is fifty percent more than the recommended daily requirement.

Another ingredient found in Baby’s Best Start is Lutein, which is vital to a baby’s development both in utero and during infancy. According to Abbot Nutritional Health Institute, “Lutein in neural tissue has biological effects including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and structural actions…” All experts agree that the first year of life is a time when the nerves and nervous system are developing rapidly, consequently the addition of lutein to the infant’s diet could significantly improve long-term health prospects.

Lutein also plays a vital role in the baby’s brain and eye development. An article in HVP Parents states, “During the critical time of brain and eye development, lutein and DHA are important nutrients.” Because Lutein is so important, Baby’s Best Start contains a therapeutic dose (3 mg.) to assist with the proper eye and brain development of a baby.

Baby’s Best Start also contains Vitamin D, which is well know for dental benefits. According to Pediatrics, “Inadequate maternal vitamin D levels during pregnancy may affect tooth calcification, predisposing enamel hypoplasia and early childhood caries (ECC).” With the amount of Vitamin D3 in Baby’s Best Start, a mother can help ensure her child has healthy teeth.
