Jane Zarse was rich and privileged. From prep school to Boston University to a prime spot at the Chicago's Options Exchange trading, she'd found the recipe for success.

But wrapped up in the excess of alcoholism, she felt nothing.

Zarse shares the most personal details of her descent into alcoholism and her eventual crawl back in 'Love and Compassion is My Religion', an inspirational memoir dedicated to showing others how the power of God's love can change you. Struggling through in an alcohol-induced daze, she lost it all - including her marriage, her mother, and even more, before she finally decided to seek help.

But when I found God, I quickly came to realize that there was an exit door, if I was willing to embrace His love and compassion. I wasn’t a heavily spiritual person before, but now credit it with the only thing that saved me.”
