Silent Predator Stalks African American Homes; Gets in Through Kitchen

Richmond, Virginia – August 7, 2015 – The American Medical Association reports a diet low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol and rich in fruits and vegetables effectively lowers blood pressure; however traditional black American diets are quite the contrary.
Notoriously known for high concentrated animal fat content, white sugar and sodium; “soul food” may possibly be the perpetrator and/or at minimal the accomplice in the deaths of over 200,000 blacks in 2006 alone. The 13th Annual Happily Natural Day has emerged as a vehicle to shift these statistics through innovative education in a festive environment.
The 13th Happily Natural Day takes place Saturday, August 29th at noon. The workshops at Happily Natural Day will feature demonstrative and instructive components for attendees to learn firsthand techniques on how to take health and wellness into their own hands for self and family. The festival takes place at Plant Zero Event Space at 3rd & Hull Street in Richmond Virginia’s Manchester Arts District.
